“Recognizing that you are not where you want to be is a starting point to begin changing your life.”

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, and Behavior Modification

Sarah is a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who completed her post graduate training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 2019. Cognitive Behavioral therapy has been the most researched modality for treating a range of issues, and is the number one most recommended and mandated form of therapeutic treatment in the US. Often referred to as the “gold standard” of therapy, CBT quickly and pointedly identifies underlying issues, requiring fewer sessions than most other therapy approaches. Whether you are coping with panic, anxiety, depression, specific phobias, or unwanted, repeating behavioral patterns, CBT responds to them in a structured, solutions-focused manner.

  • Integrated Trauma Treatment

Sarah is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who believes that any trauma, whether acute, chronic, or complex, can be treated safely and effectively in the context of therapy. Psychotherapy has been researched to be the most effective form of treating the longterm negative impact that trauma often holds. Throughout our process, we will process both the emotional and physical impact of trauma, cope with lingering effects, and ultimately process the memory once and for all in a focused and meaningful way.

  • Women’s Issues

Whether it’s stress and anxiety, coping with sexual trauma/dysfunction, people pleasing, negative body image and disordered eating, perfectionism, relationships, or the at-times soul-crushing demands of motherhood, certain issues impact women differently than men. This often leaves women feeling stuck in a never ending cycle of exhaustion and loneliness. As a naturally gifted nurturer, it is easy to spend your days supporting and caring for everyone else in your life. This often comes at the cost of your own well being, putting your own needs and health on the backburner. Together we will take the time, focus, and nurturing energy needed to care for you, lifting the weight of the world off your shoulders.

  • Faith based & Spiritually Focused Counseling

Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies at LIFE Pacific University. As a Christian herself, Sarah can integrate prayer, faith based matters, and a Biblical theological framework into sessions as interest is expressed by you, the client. Sarah welcomes spirituality as a key component in formulating and exploring core beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that comprise the process of therapy.

Additionally, while our places of worship can provide a place of connection, service, and community, they can also be a source of confusion, hurt, shame, and trauma. The effects of spiritual abuse on the soul leave us questioning everything, wondering if God himself is on the side of the abuser. With years of experience working with leaders experiencing ministry burnout, hurt church goers, and cult survivors, Sarah can help clients understand, untangle, heal, and reconnect spiritually.
