We currently accept HMSA and UHA insurance. While we will do our best to help answer questions you may have, you are the holder of your particular plan and so will need to address questions and concerns with your insurer. You are responsible for receiving authorization from your insurer and will need to check your coverage carefully before the start of sessions.
Important questions to ask your insurer may be:
What are my mental health insurance benefits?
What is my co-payment per session?
Is there a limit on covered sessions per year?
Do I have a deductible? If so, has my deductible been met this year?
-
You may choose to pay out-of-pocket if you do not have HMSA or UHA insurance, or if you have other considerations. Other considerations may include the requirement of a diagnosis for billing purposes when using insurance. The presence of a diagnosis is part of your medical record, which may be needed for professional background checks and security clearances. For this reason, some clients prefer to pay out of pocket to avoid a diagnosis on their medical record. This is ultimately the client’s decision and can be discussed with your provider.
Upon your request, we can provide you with a monthly billing statement for tax purposes or possible reimbursement from your insurer. If you have outpatient mental health coverage and depending on your particular focus for therapy, sessions may be covered in full or part by your insurer this way.
